On February 20, 2023, Ala-Too International University summed up the results of the video contest “Every language is precious to its people”, dedicated to “February 21 – International Day of native language”.

Eight groups from different faculties took part in the competition, as well as the IT & Business College of AIU. Video interviews, video voice overs, surveys were presented, where the problems of the state language and ways to solve them were reflected. In each video there was a specific situation related to the Kyrgyz language, where students tried to emphasize the relevance of the application in everyday life.

After watching all the video materials, a representative of each team explained the main idea of the video and what they wanted to convey to the audience. In addition, several students have read artistic poems by famous Kyrgyz authors, which deserves a loud ovation from the audience. So, the winners were the following teams:

    I place: Applied Mathematics and Informatics

    II place: International relations

    III place: IT & Business College

The winners were awarded diplomas and cash prizes, and the rest of the participants were awarded letters of thanks. 

This competition was held on the basis of a 1-month action plan to improve the native language of ethnic groups living in Kyrgyzstan, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
